POS Systems Analyst

We are looking for a POS Systems Analyst to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented POS Systems Analyst to support, maintain, and enhance their retail Point-of-Sale systems. This hybrid Columbus role involves troubleshooting store technology issues, assisting with implementations, analyzing system data, and partnering with cross-functional teams to optimize retail operations.

• Support daily operations of retail POS systems, hardware, and store technology
• Assist with POS system implementations, upgrades, configuration, and testing
• Troubleshoot issues across registers, payment devices, back-office systems, and store networks
• Analyze system performance, identify root causes, and provide technical solutions
• Collaborate with Store Operations, IT, Vendors, and Helpdesk teams to resolve incidents
• Support integration between POS and related systems (inventory, promotions, loyalty, etc.)
• Use SQL for data validation, research, and basic troubleshooting (if applicable)
• Document processes, create knowledge articles, and track system changes

• 2+ years of POS system experience (front-end, back-office, hardware, or software)
• POS implementation or rollout experience is a plus
• SQL experience is a plus, including basic queries or data validation
• Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-service mindset
• Ability to support fast-paced retail environments with multiple priorities
• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills
