Our direct client is seeking a skilled IT Asset Management Specialist (PS2) to support the Asset Management Team. This role is responsible for tracking, updating, maintaining, and coordinating the movement and disposal of IT desktop and network assets. The ideal candidate will have strong asset management experience, familiarity with Service Now, and excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Update and maintain accurate asset meta-data within the asset management system.
• Add newly acquired IT assets (desktop, network, and mobile equipment) into the system.
• Reassign assets based on approved Service Now incident and service request tickets.
• Coordinate and organize the disposal of outdated computer and networking equipment in compliance with ODOT policies.
• Append and manage asset tags for newly acquired equipment.
• Generate asset management reports to support biennium reconciliation activities.
• Provide Mobile AV support as required.
• Unpackage, move, and deploy IT equipment to designated locations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Follow established quality standards and departmental procedures.
• Communicate accurate, timely, and useful status updates to stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively within a team environment to complete assigned tasks.

• 4+ years of experience updating asset management meta-data.
• 4+ years of experience reassigning assets using Service Now incident tickets.
• 4+ years of experience coordinating disposal of outdated IT equipment.
• 4+ years of experience applying and managing asset tags.
• 4+ years of experience generating asset management reports (including reconciliation support).
• 4+ years of experience providing Mobile AV support.
• 4+ years of experience unpackaging, moving, and deploying IT equipment.
• Strong analytical and customer service skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Prior experience working in a government or public-sector IT environment
• Familiarity with enterprise asset management best practices
