We are seeking a Senior Associate of Technical Writing and Content Design to serve as the bridge between complex engineering platforms and the users who rely on them. In this role, you won't just write "help docs" you will architect content within a UX framework to build developer confidence and ensure narrative consistency across our technical ecosystem.
Core ResponsibilitiesContent Architecture:
Design and structure comprehensive product documentation, ranging from high-level conceptual overviews to granular, step-by-step developer guides.
Strategic
Collaboration:
Partner with Product Managers and Engineering leads to influence product design and functionality, ensuring the "user voice" is present from the initial build.
Technical Translation:
Distill highly complex technical architecture into clear, intuitive content that adapts to both novice users and expert developers.
Systems Thinking:
Develop and maintain content taxonomies and organizational structures that improve discoverability and ease of use.
Brand Stewardship:
Adopt and refine our brand voice, ensuring that even the most technical documentation feels engaging, concise, and professional.
Feedback Loops:
Systematically analyze customer feedback and documentation metrics to champion user-centered improvements.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in technical writing or content design, specifically within digital products and engineering platforms.
Location:
Must be based in (or willing to work from) Columbus, OH.
Content Strategy:
Proven ability to create narrative-driven content architectures and documentation-as-code workflows.
Accessibility:
Deep understanding of inclusive design and accessibility standards in technical documentation.
Agile Mindset:
Ability to iterate quickly based on user feedback and technical shifts.
Tools:
Expert-level proficiency with Jira for task management and Visual Studio Code (VS Code) for Markdown-based writing.
Technical Literacy:
Experience with Content as Code, Markdown, and Git workflows.
Developer Advocacy: A strong desire to anticipate developer pain points and proactively fill documentation gaps before they become support tickets.
Industry Knowledge:
Previous experience in Financial Services or high-scale platform engineering.
