Senior IT Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Systems Engineer to manage, secure, and optimize our technology environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who thrives in complex systems administration, cybersecurity, and enterprise application support while mentoring junior staff and leading strategic IT initiatives.

• Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services including Azure AD, Intune, Autopilot, Exchange Online, Teams, and Copilot.

• Manage and support desktop and laptop environments, peripherals, and endpoint lifecycle.

• Configure, monitor, and secure network infrastructure and security platforms, including firewalls, switches, and endpoint protection tools.

• Implement and enforce cybersecurity best practices; monitor security alerts and respond to threats proactively.

• Provide advanced administration and Tier 3 escalation support for core enterprise applications; resolve complex system and user issues.

• Lead technology projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and new solution deployments.

• Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

• Mentor junior IT team members and contribute to training and knowledge base development.

• Advanced experience administering Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Exchange Online, Teams, Intune, and Autopilot.

• Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, security protocols, and enterprise cybersecurity solutions.

• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems and application issues in a professional services or enterprise environment.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT systems engineering or a similar role.

• Microsoft Certified:
  Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent.

• Microsoft 365 Certified:
  Enterprise Administrator Expert.

• Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP are a plus.
