Our client is seeking an experienced Mainframe Database Administrator (DBA) to join their team in Columbus, OH / Wilmington, DE. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in DB2 and IMS who thrives in performance tuning and database management—not development.
What You’ll Do- Administer and maintain DB2/IMS databases
- Oversee replication and streaming technologies (CDC, QREP, MQ)
- Conduct performance-focused code reviews
- Ensure database reliability, efficiency, and scalability
- Participate in an on-call rotation every 5 weeks
- Proven DBA experience (not developer background)
- Strong expertise in DB2 and IMS
- Hands-on experience with performance tuning
- Familiarity with replication/streaming tools (CDC, QREP, MQ)
