Senior UX Product Designer

Optomi, in partnership with a premier client in the private aviation industry, is seeking a Senior UX Product Designer for a high-impact opportunity. This individual will report to the Director of UX Research + Design and play a critical role in shaping the visual design language across digital channels. The ideal candidate is a visual problem solver, attentive listener, and collaborative team player who frames solutions through a user-centered lens while contributing to an evolving enterprise design system.

Location: Ideally local to Columbus, OH for regular in-office collaboration. Proximity to the Chicago office is also welcomed. Remote candidates will be considered.

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across product, marketing, technology, and brand teams to deliver exceptional digital experiences for Owners, Passengers, Crew members, Agents, and corporate teams
• Create accessible wireframes, prototypes, and scalable UI components across mobile and responsive web platforms, supporting both new product development and enhancements to existing experiences
• Apply design thinking principles with a mobile-first, but not mobile-only, approach
• Contribute to the build-out, governance, and evolution of the enterprise design system
• Advocate for the voice of the user from discovery through delivery, synthesizing research, analytics, and business requirements into seamless digital experiences
• Participate in research efforts for discovery and validation, incorporating findings into iterative design improvements
• Partner with Marketing and Brand teams to ensure user-centric solutions align with brand standards
• Embrace a culture of optimism, curiosity, collaboration, and rapid experimentation

• Bachelor’s degree in Visual Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, or a related field
• 4–6 years of web design and/or usability experience with strong expertise in UI design, design systems, and brand standards
• Proficiency with modern design and collaboration tools such as Figma, Miro, and Adobe Creative Cloud
• Experience designing for native iOS, Android, and responsive web, with familiarity in Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design standards
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Advanced experience using Figma for file management, high-fidelity UI design, component libraries, foundational styles, design tokens, and interactive prototyping
• Demonstrated experience working within and contributing to design systems
• Experience designing for web accessibility standards
• A robust portfolio showcasing enterprise and consumer digital products
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and iterating from low- to high-fidelity solutions
• A leadership mindset with the ability to influence and learn across all levels of the organization

• Motion design, micro-interactions, and animation
• Service design, customer journey mapping, and service blueprints
• Video-based storytelling for demos and concept communication
• Direct participation in design research for discovery and validation
