- Administer and manage Power BI Service (work spaces, datasets, dataflows, gateways, capacities)
- Establish and enforce governance standards (naming conventions, workspace policies, access controls)
- Configure and manage security roles, Row-Level Security (RLS), and tenant settings
- Monitor system health, refresh schedules, gateway performance, and capacity usage
- Troubleshoot refresh failures, gateway errors, permission conflicts, and report performance issues
- Maintain and optimize On-Premises Data Gateways
- Support developers, analysts, and business users with workspace setup and publishing workflows
- Provide user training on Power BI Service best practices
- Document system configurations, governance processes, and troubleshooting guides
- Deliver knowledge transfer documentation at end of contract
- 3–5+ years administering Power BI Service in production environments
- Strong understanding of Power BI architecture (datasets, dataflows, gateways, capacities)
- Experience managing tenant settings, workspace permissions, and security models
- Hands‑on experience with On‑Premises Data Gateway configuration and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Power BI auditing, monitoring tools, and Admin APIs
- Knowledge of Azure AD / Active Directory security models
- Ability to diagnose refresh failures, performance bottlenecks, and capacity issues
- Strong communication skills supporting both technical and non-technical users
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Power Platform governance
- Power Shell / scripting / Admin API automation
- Experience in enterprise or regulated environments
