PeopleSoft Administrator

Overview

Akkodis is seeking a People Soft Administrator for a Contract opportunity in Columbus, OH (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in People Soft architecture, installations, upgrades, environment management, migrations, integrations, and automation. This role requires hands‑on experience with People Tools, PUM upgrades, Web Logic, Oracle environments, and strong troubleshooting capabilities.

$70/hour to $75/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Managing People Soft architecture, People Tools administration, installations, upgrades, and environment maintenance.
• Implementing PUM updates, patches, bundles, and change management using Change Assistant.
• Supporting application and tools upgrades, configuring upgrade templates, and maintaining payroll tax updates.
• Handling Integration Broker setup, configuration, and troubleshooting integration failures.
• Performing environment refreshes, cloning, migrations (Application, DB Scripts, SQR, Shell Scripts), and maintaining Oracle/Web Logic environments.
• Creating technical architecture documents, hardware sizing, and production support deliverables.
• Automating monitoring tasks through shell scripting and managing job scheduling (Autosys/JIL).
• Troubleshooting People Soft server issues, infrastructure incidents, and performance problems.
• Ensuring compliance with environment standards, job scheduling, backup & recovery, monitoring, and release management.
• Collaborating with cross‑functional teams, providing clear communication, and supporting agile practices.

• 6–8+ years of People Soft technical administration experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with People Tools 8.5x and People Soft applications 9.x.
• Deep understanding of PUM upgrade processes, change assistant templates, integrations, and environment setup.
• Experience with Oracle Web Logic, PL/SQL, shell scripting, and automation tasks.
• Knowledge of payroll tax updates, server configuration, migrations, environment refreshes, and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Autosys (JIL scripting) and Fluid UI experience (preferred).
