Help Desk Technician

Phronesis Technology Solutions is seeking a Help Desk Technician to support the Ohio Secretary of State IT Department.

This position will serve as the first point of contact for internal and external users seeking technical assistance and will provide hardware, software, and network support in a structured government IT environment.

📄 Contract Role

• Serve as first point of contact for technical support (phone, email, in-person)
• Support Office 365, MS Teams, VPN, wireless, printers, and workstation peripherals
• Perform remote troubleshooting and diagnostic analysis
• Record incidents and resolutions in Service Now
• Escalate unresolved issues appropriately
• Unpack, stage, rack, and install hardware/software
• Establish network connectivity
• Support IT security policy compliance
• Participate in Disaster Recovery and Incident Response as assigned

• 36 months experience with Office 365
• 24 months working knowledge of ITSM products (Service Now)
• 6 months experience with Microsoft Teams

• Strong client-facing communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong organizational and multitasking ability
• Knowledge of computer hardware & operating systems

• Agree that government equipment cannot be used outside the United States
• Successfully complete FBI fingerprint background check prior to start
