- The End User Computing (EUC) Manager is responsible for the strategy, delivery, and operational excellence of all end user devices and services, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and virtual endpoint technologies. This role leads the teams and platforms that enable a secure, reliable, and high quality computing experience for employees across the organization.
- Manages teams responsible for cloud computing, automation, operations, maintenance, and support of end-user computing environment.
- Provides supportive leadership for product release planning, design, development, operational readiness, and support led by the digital experience product team.
- Serves as a technical leader overseeing all Windows, MAC, iOS operating systems support, maintenance and upgrades across all managed devices.
- Coordinates initiatives across multiple departments, service lines, platforms, and administrative interfaces related to endpoint device management including desktops, laptops, WOWs, iPhones, iPads.
- Support and development of existing and new delivery tools in Altiris, Work Space One, SCCM with a migration strategy to Microsoft InTune.
- Leads high-risk, high-impact projects, evaluates new and existing technologies, and aligns IT strategy with evolving business needs.
- Recognized organization-wide as a subject matter expert and a key resource for resolving the most complex initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of relevant experience required
- 8–12 years of relevant experience preferred
This role operates with minimal supervision. Most assignments are completed independently, with periodic review as needed.
- Support and execute the enterprise End User Computing strategy in alignment with the digital experience product team roadmap and organizational goals.
- Manage the full lifecycle of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and virtual endpoints.
- Lead, mentor, and develop EUC engineering, deployment, and support teams.
- Own and govern endpoint management platforms including MDM/MAM, patching, vulnerability management, and software distribution.
- Ensure adherence to security procedures for all devices and software licensing compliance.
- Manage the ticketing system to ensure timely resolution of issues and maintain high customer service standards
- Establish PC standards, policies, and procedures; and make recommendations for technology upgrades.
- Establish and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Security, Infrastructure, and Service Desk teams to deliver seamless end user services.
- Manage EUC budgets, vendors, contracts, and licensing.
- Drive standardization, automation, and operational maturity across endpoint services.
- Consult with IT leadership on performance, training, scheduling, and operational issues.
- Ensure appropriate staffing to meet mission objectives.
- Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback to peer managers as needed.
- Coordinate and ensure ongoing training and skill development.
- Promote teamwork and healthy team dynamics across IT.
- Prepare, manage, and assess budget performance.
- Develop staffing plans and forecast future needs.
- Prioritize work based on resource availability and customer needs.
- Independently research and recommend process improvements.
- Develop and maintain quality control for people, processes, and tools.
- Establish department policies, procedures, mission, and goals.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, mentor, coach, and, when necessary, perform disciplinary actions.
- Set productivity and quality standards; monitor performance.
- Recognize and appreciate staff contributions.
- Lead team meetings and provide regular status reporting and timekeeping.
- Act as a functional project manager as assigned.
- Assign resources, develop implementation plans, and ensure milestones are met on time.
- Support and advance departmental project management methodologies.
- Hold staff accountable to Portfolio Management Office standards.
- Respond to work-related email in a timely manner.
- Participate in and lead departmental committees.
- Perform on-call duties as assigned.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as required.
