Reporting to the IT Manager – Enterprise Architecture, this role is responsible for researching, evaluating, designing, and implementing scalable and responsible artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled solutions. The AI Solutions Analyst will partner closely with business processors, architects, developers, data teams and stakeholders to assess use cases and recommend tools aligned with organization strategy. The position also serves as a subject matter resource, provides training and guidance to staff, and contributes to the organization’s long-term AI strategy to ensure sustainable value realization.
This role offers a chance to directly influence OPERS’ long-term AI strategy, standards, and responsible AI practices.
- At least 4 years of professional experience in AI, machine learning, software development, full‑stack engineering, systems analysis, or a related technical role.
- Demonstrated experience with AI, machine learning, or predictive analytics concepts.
- Experience evaluating third‑party technology vendors or tools and making recommendations.
- Familiarity with data privacy, information security, and risk management concepts related to emerging technologies.
- Curiosity, aptitude, and genuine enthusiasm for applying AI technologies to solve real‑world business problems and advance organizational goals.
- A practical, value‑driven mindset—focused on when and how AI should be applied responsibly to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Ability to think critically about AI limitations, risks, and trade‑offs, not just capabilities.
- Strong interest in staying current with emerging AI trends, tools, and best practices, and translating them into meaningful improvements for the organization.
