Senior Software Engineer – SAP & Business Intelligence

• Gather and analyze user requirements, design and develop software solutions, modify and test client‑server applications, and evaluate existing and emerging software across the full life cycle.
• Provide ongoing support for system modification, maintenance, optimization, and prepare documentation.
• Participate in application/system design meetings and meet with clients to resolve ongoing development issues.
• Utilize SAP MDG & MDM for data governance and quality enhancement; develop data construct pipelines, master data, and material master programs; collaborate in SIT2, UAT, and qualification activities.
• Build and maintain data integrity in SAP environments, driving business process improvements and alignment with technology solutions.
• Create and manage project plans, milestones, and risk assessments; coordinate with internal and external vendors.
• Develop complex reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows; record and track project requirements and analytics.
• Perform functional and non‑functional testing of internally‑developed software and third‑party solutions; create test plans, scenarios, and log defects.
• Design, build, and support Business Intelligence reporting solutions, dashboards, and analytics.
• Install and configure IBM Security Access Manager, configure SSO, and manage security components.
• Develop reusable code in Python and Django; implement ETL programs to load data into Vertica; create database objects and support migrations.
• Plan and execute system upgrades, performance testing, regression testing, and network troubleshooting for core products.
• Lead or participate in multiple projects, preparing and updating documentation, scoping projects, managing priorities, and ensuring on‑time delivery.
• Prepare project plans, definitions, requirements, design, testing, and system documentation; handle system development life cycle for medium‑scale projects.
• Gather business requirements and prepare technical and functional specifications; engage in agile scrum and sprint sessions.

Work location:

Columbus, OH; travel and relocation possible within the United States (up to 20% domestic travel). Additionally, a primary office may be located in Vienna, VA.
