Senior APIM​/CXI Engineer Lead

Our client, a leading organization in digital transformation and enterprise modernization, is seeking a Senior APIM / CXI Engineer Lead to join their team. As a Senior APIM / CXI Engineer Lead, you will be part of the Technology Solutions Department supporting API management and customer experience initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, technical expertise, and innovative thinking, which will align successfully in the organization.

Senior APIM / CXI Engineer Lead

Columbus, OH or Nashville, TN (both locations would be for on-site work)

• Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of enterprise API management and CX integration platforms.
• Establish and enforce API standards, patterns, and governance aligned to customer and partner experience needs.
• Design and build REST, Graph
  
  QL, and experience-layer APIs to support diverse digital channels.
• Implement API security controls and integrate APIs with CIAM/IAM solutions to ensure enterprise security and privacy compliance.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and enable monitoring and observability for APIs and integrations.

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, integration, or platform engineering.
• 4+ years of hands‑on experience with API management platforms such as Azure APIM, Apigee, Mule Soft, Kong, or AWS API Gateway.
• Strong expertise in RESTful API design, HTTP, and API modeling.
• Experience operating APIs in cloud or hybrid environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Familiarity with Dev Ops practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Cloud Formation), and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
