Systems Administrator – Tek Synap, Columbus, OH

We are seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team supporting DLA Integrated Electronic Security Systems (IESS) and Electronic Key Control (EKC). Tek Synap is a fast‑growing high‑tech company that values technology, innovation, and a comprehensive information management environment.

In this role you will manage day‑to‑day operations, ensure system stability, train staff, and maintain user accounts. You will also perform troubleshooting, install and configure software and hardware, analyze connectivity issues, and assist in system design and implementation.

• Monitor system performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair.
• Maintain records of system downtime and equipment inventory.
• Train staff in the use of software and hardware for Lenel, AMAG, Honeywell, IQ Multi Access, Bosch, LG, DAQ Electronics, DEA System SPA, Hirsch Electronics, Valerus, Pelco, IDIS, Panasonic, Axis Communication, GFMS, Key Trak Guardian, Morse Watchman, Stanley Security Solutions Keystone, and Matrix Key Control.
• Perform troubleshooting as required.
• Establish, maintain, and manage user accounts.
• Install, modify, and maintain systems and utility software.
• Diagnose and recommend fixes to problems or potential problems with the network, hardware, software, and systems.
• Ensure the stable operation of the computer software systems and network connections.
• Plan, develop, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize all network software and communication links.
• Analyze and resolve software program and connectivity issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software.
• Assist in system design, development, and implementation.

• Seven years of overall professional experience in systems administration.
• Five years of overall experience with Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems.
• Five years of experience with electronic security systems, including hands‑on installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the DLA ESS or EKC system.
• DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification:
  Category IAT Level II.
• Milestone Certified Design Engineer (MCDE).
• Milestone Certified Integration Engineer (MCIE).
• Lenel Certified Professional (LCP).
• Bachelor’s Degree in an accredited college or university in engineering and/or systems development.
• Secret security clearance.
