ResponsibilitiesAs part of the Student Life Client Computing Infrastructure Team, the Client Support Engineer provides a wide range of information technology infrastructure services including but not limited to the analysis, design and deployment of client computing infrastructure, applications, and tools. The role also provides user education and assists users in the use of general‑purpose hardware and software products to address university computing needs.
The position is responsible for the reliability, performance, recoverability and security of Student Life client computing, hardware, operating systems, and infrastructure applications. Responsibilities include implementing, configuring, coordinating, controlling, troubleshooting, maintaining security, monitoring usage, and developing specialized procedures relating to the use of the distributed computing environment within Student Life. This position may serve as an informal resource for less experienced colleagues, works on complex projects of large scope, completes routine work independently and receives general guidance on new projects.
- Required:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience; 4 years of relevant experience managing and supporting a client computing infrastructure. - Desired: 4-8 years of relevant experience. Effective oral and written communication skills.
Starting hiring range: $81,800 - $90,881.
