About Our Team
Immuta’s Site Reliability Engineering team defines what reliability means team is responsible for building and operating the infrastructure that supports Immuta’s cloud platform, enabling engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable services efficiently. We partner closely with Engineering and Security to improve automation, platform resiliency, observability, and operational excellence across cloud environments. As Immuta grows, the SRE team plays a key role in ensuring platform stability, performance, and compliance for enterprise‑scale environments.
YourRole
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will take ownership of critical infrastructure systems and lead initiatives that improve automation, scalability, and observability across Immuta’s platform. This role includes participating in a shared on‑call rotation to help maintain production reliability and support timely incident response and resolution. You will contribute to architectural decisions, mentor junior engineers, and help evolve infrastructure practices across cloud environments.
This role is based in our Columbus, OH office and requires in‑office attendance at least three days per week.
Core Responsibilities- Lead infrastructure initiatives that improve platform scalability, reliability, monitoring, and operational efficiency
- Design and maintain Terraform modules and Kubernetes deployments that support highly available infrastructure
- Build operational tooling and automation that improves software deployment processes and reduces manual effort
- Participate in a shared on‑call rotation and contribute to incident response, troubleshooting, and post‑mortem analysis
- Improve observability through enhancements to monitoring, alerting, and logging systems
- Partner with Security teams to implement infrastructure policies, guardrails, and operational best practices
- Lead automation and modernization efforts across CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure workflows
- Create and maintain internal documentation, playbooks, and “paved road” solutions that improve developer experience
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in reliability engineering, automation, and infrastructure operations
- 5–8 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Dev Ops, or related roles
- Strong experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform/Terragrunt, and cloud‑native infrastructure environments
- Proficiency with scripting or development languages such as Golang, Python, or Bash
- Experience managing production and staging infrastructure environments across cloud platforms
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and operational tooling
- Understanding of monitoring, alerting, logging, and incident management practices
- Knowledge of Kubernetes security standards and infrastructure compliance considerations
- Ability to collaborate effectively across Engineering and Security teams
- Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and contributing to infrastructure improvements at scale
