We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer, IT Manufacturing to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the use of IT skills and competencies to support critical business applications and processes such as industrial peripherals, industrial PC integration activities in different levels of the business processes, and network integration applications.
Key Responsibilities- Primary responsibility will be implementation, support, and improvement of IT systems, which are incorporated in business processes.
- Own assigned tasks and resolve general problems.
- Require minimal direction, give some guidance to others, some project work, and good knowledge of operating environments.
- Deploy, support, and maintain industrial peripherals, such as handheld scanners, printers, and industrial PCs.
- Troubleshoot system problems that have been escalated. Maintain relationships with both technical and business partners to keep skills current and be up to date with the dynamic needs of the business. Interface with clients to proactively seek and identify opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements. Periodically meet with users to discuss current business trends and suggest systems-oriented process improvements. Install, test, and maintain software and hardware components.
- Regular and predictable onsite attendance and punctuality. Be able to travel to other sites to support issues and provide fixes.
- Participate on project teams as needed and take responsibility as team member or leader. Deliver assigned tasks and action items.
- Serve as an expert for existing applications or solutions on a technical level. Employ comprehensive knowledge to help influence technologies and solution decisions. Where possible, identify IT or Pharma industry processes or technologies that could provide a competitive advantage.
- 3+ years of advanced experience with industrial peripherals such as handheld scanners, label printers, industrial PC management.
- Proven experience with system integrations between production systems, databases, and networks.
- General IT support and SaaS administration experience.
- Familiarity with IT backup systems.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, internals, peripherals, and software on supported platforms.
- Basic knowledge of software development lifecycle, from functional specification through coding, testing, and customer support required for a commercial product.
- Good understanding of project management skills coupled with the ability to effectively manage and partner with team members.
- Good understanding of validated or quality systems.
- Experience with SOTI, velocity browser, and RF device configurations.
- Experience setting, supporting, and managing industrial peripherals such as handheld scanners, label printers, and industrial PCs.
- Experience supporting server applications in industrial environments.
- Experience in .NET Framework programming languages.
- Experience in relational databases.
- Ability to provide off‑hours support.
- Ability to work effectively on cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and apply good problem‑solving techniques.
- Strong time‑management skills.
- Excellent judgment and customer interaction skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Backup system implementation experience with Macrium, Rubrik, etc. for backup strategy.
- Annual performance bonus, commission, and share potential.
