Collaboration Engineer

Overview

Encova Insurance is seeking a Collaboration Engineer for a hybrid schedule at our Columbus, Ohio location. The role supports collaboration systems across the Encova enterprise, providing technical support and project implementation for Microsoft Teams, Cisco phone systems, Genesys, WebRTC, Biscom, and Right Fax.

• Maintain technical proficiency in collaboration environments and related virtualization and cloud technologies.
• Provide support as a Microsoft Teams engineer for the end‑user environment and for Microsoft Tenant governance.
• Support Cisco phone system and endpoints, Genesys and WebRTC systems, Biscom and Right Fax systems.
• Execute tasks and phases of projects, ensuring deployment standards are met per solution/project scope documentation.
• Participate in technical activities leading to resolution of business application and technical problems.
• Process request, incident, and problem tickets and assist with support activities.
• Implement and maintain new tools, technologies, and processes to continuously improve software delivery.
• Provide status updates to stakeholders and advise on software and hardware requirements and budgets.
• Engage in knowledge transfer and cross‑training with team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 5+ years of IT experience, preferably in deployment and implementation project teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams, Cisco Call Manager, Genesys, WebRTC, virtualization, and cloud technologies (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS).
• Knowledge of operating systems, fax solutions, servers, and enterprise application design and testing.
• Strong communication skills – written, verbal, and interpersonal.
• Customer‑service orientation with active listening, conflict resolution, decision‑making, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and perform related physical tasks.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Vendor or industry certifications preferred.
• Capable of working independently and as part of cross‑functional teams.
