DataStage Administrator

Summary

Huntington Bank is seeking an experienced Data Stage Administrator to support the Enterprise Data Warehouse Platform Administration team. In this role, you will help ensure optimal performance of our Data Stage ETL environment and support our customers. You will partner with internal teams to grow our solution across the enterprise.

• Proactive monitoring of Data Stage performance and storage utilization.
• Assist Development teams on new project creation, file directory setup, access provisioning and firewall rule creation.
• Consult with Development on job performance, including database and file system performance.
• Provision user and system access to ensure least privilege and separation of duties.
• Ensure environments are current by applying system upgrades, certificate updates, and system patches.
• Support CI/CD job promotion process across environments.
• Partner with IBM Support to troubleshoot issues and apply updates.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement best practices for job development, testing, and deployment.
• Enhance security practices and ensure compliance with enterprise technology standards and regulatory expectations.
• Identify improvement and automation opportunities for internal processes and procedures.
• Author and maintain internal documentation.
• Provide operational support for system access and platform availability, including on‑call rotation outside of standard business hours.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience supporting ETL platforms/processes.
• 2+ years of experience supporting IBM Data Stage as an administrator.
• 2+ years of software development experience, preferably in ETL job development.

• Experience with PL/SQL, Power Shell, Python, or Bash scripting.
• Experience developing and maintaining role‑based user access processes (RBAC).
• Knowledge of data warehouses, ETL architecture and best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong data analytical skills.
• Experience with Unix/Linux file systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and updating ODBC/JDBC drivers.
• Ability to work in fast‑paced environment, handle multiple priorities.
• Experience working in a consumer‑centric company, partnering with technical professionals in cross‑functional environment.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Git repository.
• Experience with Service Now.
• Experience in financial services or another regulated industry.

Office. Certain positions may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement. Remote roles may also attend office for collaborative moments.
