What will you do?
  • Assist the IT Director with day‑to‑day management of technology services, business systems, and operational support, including the implementation and enforcement of IT standards, policies, and procedures; ensure business requirements, workflows and documentation are adequately analyzed, documented, communicated, and validated prior to implementation; provide expertise to internal teams; and solicit input from team members at all levels.
  • Serve as a backup liaison with the Franklin County Data Center, handling user account administration, access controls, permission reviews, and operational security practices in coordination with the IT Director; assist in establishing and maintaining vendor relationships; and act as backup to the IT Director.
  • Effectively communicate relevant IT‑related information to stakeholders.
  • Administer the Auditor’s Office business applications, perform software application testing, attend software training and demonstrations, troubleshoot issues, coordinate software support, testing, implementation, and issue resolution activities; coordinate reporting and data‑related requirements with Business Analysts, developers and the IT Director to improve clarity, validation, and consistency.
  • Take responsibility for project and program management and oversight.
  • Manage and supervise staff and external contractors: schedule and assign tasks; interview applicants; recommend hiring and discipline; evaluate performance; address employee complaints; approve leave requests; and participate in policy‑related meetings.
  • Provide training, mentorship, guidance, and operational support to Business Analysts and the IT Support Specialist to promote consistent processes and technical proficiency.
  • Track operational issues, project updates, support activities, and departmental metrics; provide regular status reporting to the IT Director and senior leadership; develop and enforce request handling and escalation policies and procedures.
Who should apply?

We encourage individuals with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in Information Technology; with at least one (1) year of project leadership experience and one (1) year of supervisory experience preferred; demonstrating the ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, manage time to meet deadlines, and possessing strong technical planning and project management experience.

Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Project Management Professional (PMP), Scrum Master, and/or any modern IT‑related certification preferred.
