Job Description Summary
Nationwide is looking for a Sr. Consultant, People Data Scientist in our Human Resources People Analytics team. You will translate business questions into advanced analytical techniques, build scalable data infrastructure, support cross‑functional strategic projects, and deliver actionable insights to influence people decisions across the associate life cycle.
Key Responsibilities- Lead initiatives that optimize business decisions through advanced analytics and data‑driven solutions.
- Provide expert consultation and thought leadership to HR executives and key stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with HR leaders and stakeholders.
- Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance of HR data analytics strategy, models, and project portfolio.
- Lead complex projects using advanced data science tools, performing quantitative and qualitative research, and recommending solutions.
- Develop and test hypotheses around trends and key drivers of associate behavior and performance.
- Present data analytics results, reports, and visualizations in a clear, compelling manner.
- Partner with team members to manage data demands and implement data pipelines.
- Align with other enterprise data analytics teams to refine methodologies and best practices.
- Integrate internal and external research to enable better, informed decisions.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, completeness, and governance across all analysis and reporting processes.
- Maintain data security, privacy, and compliance.
- Stay current on advanced people analytics and data science methodologies.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
- Advanced analytical expertise with statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in statistical analysis, modeling, and HR data.
- Proficiency with Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience using Workday or similar HRIS systems.
- Strong consulting, influencing, facilitation, and storytelling skills.
- Project management experience with planning and execution of diverse initiatives.
- Knowledge of data security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
