Position Summary
As a member of the OSUWMC IT Portfolio Management Office, the Senior Project Manager serves as a leader of interdisciplinary programs and projects on an enterprise level. The Senior Project Manager works with executive management across the health system to determine how technology can assist in addressing enterprise needs, translating those needs into system requirements and design specifications. The Senior Project Manager leverages the integration of applications, systems, and technology for competitive advantage and coordinates dynamic teams to meet business objectives, schedules, and outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related disciplines, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred).
- Master's degree (preferred).
- Four (4+) years of formal project leadership experience with various project lifecycle methodologies (waterfall, agile, iterative, etc.) required.
- Experience in a previous IT management role (preferred).
- PMP certification (preferred, but not required).
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees, peers, executive leadership, customers, vendors and others.
- Demonstrated expertise in building consensus across diverse business groups and leaders, and influencing successful outcomes.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to combine broad business, technical and political factors.
- Deep understanding of program and project management across multiple industries.
- Consistent exercise of judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Budget management experience.
- Expert knowledge in schedule management.
- Expert knowledge in various vertical industries and the ability to convey that knowledge to others.
- Pursuit of excellence in all aspects of business.
- Ability to stay current on IT and Healthcare technology trends.
- Maintains PMI certification through participation in industry sponsor activities, conferences and events.
- Maintains OSUWMC directed computer‑based learning on an annual basis.
