Central Point Partners is currently interviewing candidates in the Columbus, Oh area for a large client.
Because this is a Contract to Hire position only GC’s and USC’s.
This position is Hybrid (4 Days onsite)! Only candidates who are local to the following locations will be considered.
Columbus preferred but open to the following locations:

- Senior ETL / SQL Developer with 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise banking and financial applications, with a strong focus on SQL development, writing complex custom SQL queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, and building scalable ETL/SSIS solutions within large enterprise environments.
- Extensive hands‑on experience designing, developing, and maintaining SSIS packages, ETL pipelines, database objects, and high‑volume data integration workflows while troubleshooting production issues, optimizing long‑running jobs, and improving SQL query and batch processing performance.
- Strong technical background across SQL Server, ETL/SSIS, Oracle, Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, Python scripting, and cloud‑based environments, with additional exposure to .NET/C#, APIs, and AWS‑supported infrastructures.
- Proven ability to support existing enterprise applications, onboard and integrate new data sources, and work across multiple projects including application upgrades, cross‑impact initiatives, and enterprise data modernization efforts.
We are seeking a seasoned Programmer/Analyst with strong SQL and ETL development expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in application development and support, with a focus on MS SQL Server and SSIS‑based ETL processes. This role also requires hands‑on experience in production support, ensuring the reliability and performance of critical financial applications.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Build and optimize ETL workflows using SSIS to support data integration and transformation.
- Monitor and support production jobs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures for recurring issues.
- Participate in performance tuning and optimization of database systems.
- Document technical processes and maintain system knowledge base.
- 7+ years of experience in application development and support.
- Proficiency in MS SQL Server
, including T‑SQL, performance tuning, and query optimization. - 5+ years of hands‑on experience with ETL development using SSIS
. - 2+ years experience with C#.
- 1+ year experience in
- 1+ year of Python.
- Batch and Groovy Scripting.
- Knowledge of AWS.
- Strong understanding of relational database design and data modeling.
- Experience in production support, including incident management and job monitoring.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with scheduling tools (e.g., Zena, Control‑M, or similar).
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git Hub.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS or Azure).
- Knowledge of Service Now or similar ITSM tools.
