Job Description

The UH & Ross (inclusive of the HVC service line) Reporting & Analytics Consultant will spend his/her time developing and implementing tools and strategies that allow raw data to be transformed into business insights. This individual will work closely with leaders across all OSUWMC Business Units, College of Medicine & OSUP to support and implement high-quality, data-driven decisions. He/she will ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and creating optimal processes and procedures.

Through the use of advanced data modeling, predictive modeling, and analytical techniques, the consultant will interpret key findings from internal and external data and leverage these insights into initiatives that will support business unit and service line business outcomes. The ideal candidate will apply their exhaustive knowledge of data analysis to solve real-world problems faced by the Business Units and Heart & Vascular Service Line and find opportunities for improvement across multiple projects, teams, and business units.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, along with six years of relevant experience. Certification in Epic Cognito, Clarity, Caboodle, or similar platforms is required, along with a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Knowledge of the healthcare industry, specifically hospital-based service lines, is preferred. Advanced understanding of data mining principles is expected, including predictive analytics, data mapping, and integrating data from multiple on-premises and cloud-based sources.

Strong SQL skills are required, along with knowledge of No

SQL and the ability to perform complex queries involving multiple tables and subqueries. The role requires significant experience applying analytical concepts and statistical techniques, including hypothesis development, test and experiment design, data analysis, interpreting results, and developing actionable recommendations. Expertise with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik View is essential, along with considerable experience working with and creating databases and dashboards that leverage comprehensive data to support informed decision-making.
