Student Information System and Data Steward Administrator

Columbus Public School District is hiring a Student Information System and Data Steward Administrator. The position requires a degree in Computer Science, Education Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in student information system management, with a strong focus on Synergy SIS. Experience with state and federal student data reporting requirements is preferred.

• Oversee and manage the operations and functionality of Synergy SIS across the district, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with established standards and policies.
• Configure and maintain Synergy modules and functionalities such as online registration, scheduling, gradebook, assessment, etc.
• Act as a liaison between school stakeholders and the IT department to optimize Synergy's usage, generate reports, and ensure compliance with reporting guidelines.
• Provide support and guidance to school staff by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Synergy.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of student data within Synergy SIS and other integrated data systems used by the Nebraska Department of Education.

• Degree in Computer Science, Education Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2-5 years of experience managing student information systems, preferably Synergy SIS.
• Knowledge of state and federal student data reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
