STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a SAP Basis / Technology Architect on behalf of our client in Columbus, Ohio to support a large-scale Customer Information System (CIS) Transformation Program within the utilities sector. This role will lead the architecture, administration, optimization, and governance of a modern SAP landscape supporting SAP S/4

HANA Private Cloud Edition (RISE with SAP).

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SAP Basis administration, SAP HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Cloud ALM, cloud integrations, transport management, performance optimization, and high-availability architecture. This is a strategic role requiring both hands-on technical leadership and collaboration across multiple project teams and stakeholders.

• Define and govern SAP technical architecture for SAP S/4
  
  HANA Private Cloud Edition.

• Lead SAP Basis strategy, landscape design, and environment planning.

• Establish platform standards, operational procedures, monitoring practices, and governance controls.

• Provide technical leadership across development, testing, training, staging, and production environments.

• Participate in architecture reviews and technology governance initiatives.

• Administer and support SAP S/4
  
  HANA environments.

• Perform installations, upgrades, patching, kernel updates, and support package implementations.

• Manage client administration, transports, system copies, and refresh activities.

• Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and stability.

• Troubleshoot complex SAP Basis issues and coordinate resolution activities.

• Administer SAP HANA databases across enterprise environments.

• Perform monitoring, tuning, backup/recovery, and performance optimization.

• Support database lifecycle management, upgrades, and migrations.

• Implement scalability and reliability improvements.

• Configure and administer SAP BTP environments, subaccounts, and entitlements.

• Support integrations between SAP S/4
  
  HANA and SAP BTP services.

• Configure and maintain SAP Cloud Connector.

• Support SAP Integration Suite, APIs, and cloud integration architectures.

• Collaborate with development teams on extension and innovation initiatives.

• Configure and administer SAP Cloud ALM.

• Develop monitoring dashboards, alerts, reporting, and health checks.

• Support implementation governance, testing, deployment tracking, and operational readiness.

• Establish proactive monitoring and incident management processes.

• Design and support high-availability and disaster recovery strategies.

• Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and validation exercises.

• Coordinate failover testing and recovery procedures.

• Ensure alignment with business continuity requirements.

• Manage transport strategies and release management processes.

• Coordinate environment refreshes and landscape synchronization activities.

• Ensure compliance with change management processes and segregation-of-duty requirements.

• Support technical deployments and release activities across project work streams.

• Serve as a key technical liaison across project teams and external partners.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, networking, and application teams.

• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and best-practice recommendations.

• Support project governance, planning, and operational readiness activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 8+ years of SAP Basis Administration experience.

• 3+ years supporting SAP S/4
  
  HANA Private Cloud Edition environments.

• Strong experience supporting large-scale enterprise SAP landscapes.

• Hands-on SAP HANA Database Administration expertise.

• Experience administering SAP Cloud ALM.

• Experience with SAP BTP and SAP Cloud Connector.
