IT Project Manager
The Franklin County Auditor’s Office is seeking a senior-level IT Project Manager to lead and stabilize a portfolio of in-flight technology projects following a recent tax accounting system migration. This role reports directly to the IT Director and is responsible for driving execution, structure, and accountability across active initiatives.
The primary objective of this role is to bring clarity, predictability, and delivery discipline to existing projects supporting the migration of approximately ten applications.
This role requires senior-level judgment and demonstrated experience stabilizing complex, in-flight IT projects with minimal ramp uptime.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day operational management of multiple active IT projects already in progress.
- Report directly to the IT Director and align execution with leadership priorities.
- Manage projects related to application migration, data warehouse updates, and reporting remediation.
- Break existing work into clear milestones and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain executable project plans and schedules.
- Coordinate work across business analysts, developers, SMEs, and consultants.
- Mentor business analysts on documentation and project discipline.
- Facilitate project meetings using Microsoft Teams.
- Schedule and manage meetings using Microsoft Outlook.
- Provide concise and accurate status reporting to executive leadership.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and decision points early.
- Drive timely issue resolution and escalation when needed.
- Ensure documentation is complete and suitable for audit review.
- Reinforce consistent project management practices across the portfolio.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
