We are seeking an associate for our Repair Technician Motherboard BGA Repair. This role is responsible for repairing returned motherboards and preparing them for resale while meeting Micro Center quality standards.

Major Responsibilities
  • Solder, desolder, and clean motherboard components
  • Repair returned motherboards with a focus on quality and consistency
  • Operate specialized soldering equipment to replace CPU sockets
  • Test completed boards and accurately close them out in the system
  • Remove and apply product box stickers as needed
  • Add missing accessories to completed units
  • Stack finished products on pallets according to established instructions and standards
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned by management
  • Strong manual dexterity and steady hands
  • Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to consistently meet productivity goals while maintaining a high success rate
  • Ability to learn quickly and work with specialized equipment and processes
  • Patience and the ability to perform repetitive tasks on a daily basis
  • Ability to repeatedly lift up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the workday
  • Hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience with computers, printed circuit boards (PCBs), and soldering required
  • CompTIA A+ certification preferred but not required
