Software Innovation And Technology Leadership Lecturer
The Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University invites applications for a full-time lecturer in the Department of Marketing and Logistics, with an affiliation with the Center for Software Innovation (CSI). This position is contingent on funding and university approval. The successful candidate will play a central role in teaching and developing curriculum for the Elevate programs, a suite of educational initiatives sponsored by the CSI and the Fisher College of Business that prepare students to lead in technology-driven business environments.
We seek a dynamic, industry-experienced professional with deep expertise at the intersection of technology, software innovation, and business strategy. The ideal candidate will bring a strong professional background in the technology sector and a passion for education. Experience in teaching, curriculum design, or pedagogy development is valued but not required. Courses are taught in person on the University's main campus in Columbus, Ohio.
Performance objectives include teaching a minimum of seven course sections per academic year within the Elevate and Marketing programs, covering topics such as technology commercialization, product management, product marketing, software-driven business models, digital marketing, and/or innovation strategy. The candidate will also support curriculum and syllabus design for Elevate program offerings, ensuring alignment with industry trends and the strategic vision of the Center for Software Innovation.
Education and experience requirements include a master's degree or equivalent education and experience in business, technology management, computer science, engineering, or a closely related field. A minimum of five years of professional experience in the technology sector, software industry, or a related technology-driven business environment is required. Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills are also necessary, along with the demonstrated ability to engage with industry professionals, corporate partners, and cross-functional academic teams.
