Onsite (Columbus, OH)
Shift: Sun.
- Thurs., 7 a.m.
- 4 p.m. (Hourly shift differential: +$0.50)
- Create and edit legal documents to client specifications using applicable software.
- Transcribe tapes, scan, clean, and convert documents between file formats.
- Recover/restore corrupted document files when needed.
- Handle sensitive and confidential documents and information.
- Use document comparison software, red‑lining, and general editing to correct legal documents as directed.
- Create complex formulas and functions to analyze data.
- Produce spreadsheets, charts, graphs, mail merges, tables, presentations, and other documents as requested.
- Intake work requests from the client, clarify instructions, negotiate deadlines with the requester, and prioritize work requests across the team.
- Associate degree preferred; an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered if directly related to the functions of the role.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a legal document production environment preferred.
- Expert knowledge of MS Excel, including the ability to use spreadsheets, graphing, tables, calculations, and automation to process large quantities of data.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint), formatting documents with Styles, and generating a table of contents and table of authorities; strong keyboarding and typing skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team environment and as an independent operator.
- Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
- Able to apply intermediate knowledge of appropriate grammar, spelling, and composition to work requests.
The hourly rate for this role ranges from $16.59 to $22.50, based on relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, shift, location, and other business needs. Compensation may also include overtime, shift differential, call‑in, and/or stand‑by pay.
