Responsibilities
The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest infrastructure specialist in our Office of IT Services located at our Central Office in downtown Columbus, Ohio.
In your new position, you will install, maintain, configure, upgrade, and administer hardware and software independently in workstation support, server administration, business continuity, information security, telecommunication, network connectivity, and SAN administration where technical work requires specific knowledge to evaluate, select, adapt, and modify standard procedures.
You will provide environment support for the E-document system at the server and proprietary software system levels—installing and updating software, ensuring interface with OIT for server updates and upgrades, and troubleshooting issues affecting production as they arise.
We expect you to develop new approaches to problems, diagnose, analyze, and resolve issues for customers across multiple technology domains, and provide informal mentorship to peers.

- Be a mentor to peers.
- 48 months combined work experience in any combination of installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, administering/operating multiple technology domains, including 12 months in the primary technology specified by the agency.
- OR completion of an associate core program in computer science or information systems with 30 months combined experience, including 12 months in the primary technology specified.
- OR completion of an undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems with 24 months combined experience, including 12 months in the primary technology specified.
- OR equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
