Service Now Platform Lead / Principal Architect
We are seeking an experienced Service Now Platform Lead / Principal Architect with 10+ years of IT experience and extensive expertise in Service Now platform governance, architecture, digital transformation, ITSM, CMDB, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and enterprise integrations. The ideal candidate will lead platform strategy, roadmap planning, solution architecture, service delivery, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and innovative Service Now solutions aligned with business objectives.
Experience:
10+ years of IT experience. 10+ years of Service Now experience. Experience leading enterprise Service Now implementations and transformations. Experience managing global teams and vendor engagements. Proven track record delivering large-scale Service Now programs.
Technical Expertise: ITSM, HRSD, ITOM Event Management, CMDB & Discovery, Service Catalog Employee Center, CSM, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, REST/SOAP APIs JavaScript, Performance Analytics AI/GenAI capabilities within Service Now Agile and ITIL methodologies.
Certifications (Preferred):
Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD) Service Now CIS – ITSM Service Now CIS – HRSD Service Now CIS – CSM Service Now CIS – Discovery ITIL Foundation / Managing Professional Agile/Scrum Certification.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Platform Strategy & GovernanceOwn and govern the Service Now platform roadmap, release management, backlog prioritization, and platform lifecycle. Establish governance frameworks, standards, best practices, and architecture principles. Lead platform modernization initiatives and adoption of new Service Now capabilities. Define operational metrics, and continuous improvement strategies.
Solution ArchitectureDesign scalable enterprise solutions across Service Now modules including: ITSM, HRSD, ITOM, CSM, CMDB & CSDM, Service Catalog, Knowledge Management, Employee Center. Provide architecture leadership for complex business transformations. Ensure adherence to Service Now best practices and platform standards.
Enterprise IntegrationsLead integrations between Service Now and enterprise applications such as: SAP, Intune, Dynatrace, Solar Winds, Crowd Strike LeanIX, Apptio, Horizons, BT Digital Services Identity and Asset Management platforms Define integration architecture using REST APIs, Integration Hub, MID Servers, and event-driven designs.
CMDB & CSDM LeadershipLead CMDB strategy, governance, data quality initiatives, and service mapping programs. Establish data models, reconciliation policies, and lifecycle governance. Drive CSDM adoption and alignment across business and technical services.
Program & Delivery ManagementManage large-scale Service Now programs from requirements through production support. Lead SOW development, project estimation, budget planning, risk management, and stakeholder communications. Coordinate with business leaders, vendors, architects, and development teams.
Leadership & People ManagementLead global development and support teams. Mentor developers, architects, business analysts, and administrators. Drive delivery excellence, resource planning, and knowledge management initiatives. Engage with senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
