Position Overview
The Solution Architect leads the overall solution design of a customer's Transportation capability, working closely with the Technical Architect. The role requires cross‑functional leadership, communication with program delivery leads, customer stakeholders, and IT teams, and the ability to present complex business processes to a variety of audiences, including executive project sponsors. The Architect influences customers to adopt industry best practices and defines how the Blue Yonder Transportation solutions are configured and delivered to achieve customer objectives.
Responsibilities- Lead all phases of the customer journey—Discovery, Design, Construction, Testing, Deployment, and Hyper‑care—focusing on transportation capabilities.
- Design and integrate functional solutions using Blue Yonder products such as Transportation Planning, Modeling, Load Builder, BY Network, Platform, and BY TMS.
- Facilitate customer change management using industry best practices and process methodologies.
- Develop gap‑closure solutions when out‑of‑the‑box functionality is insufficient.
- Own overall solution delivery, attending key meetings with Project Manager, Technical Architect, and customer contacts.
- Provide quality assurance/design review, environment configuration, batch operations consulting, troubleshooting, and system testing support to the project team.
- Coordinate with Blue Yonder Support Services to ensure environment readiness and proactive issue resolution.
- Guide and conduct user acceptance testing and training sessions for end users as needed.
- Work with Cloud services to transition smoothly to the Blue Yonder Steady State team.
- Support the Transportation Segment Lead during client discovery, origination, and solutioning in sales cycles.
- Experience in business requirements gathering, user story development, and translating requirements to development teams.
- Experience delivering transportation programs to clients.
- Familiarity with integration technologies such as Web/REST/SOAP Services, Mulesoft, ETL/APIs.
- Unit, system integration, and functional testing experience.
