Job DescriptionContributes strategic vision and serves as the top-level technical contributor for health system services in the planning, design, development, implementation, functionality and evaluation of integrated health system information technologies that support and enhance health system practice, administrative and management needs and patient outcomes.
Serves as a top level health system applications consultant and resource with health system knowledge and computer expertise to coordinate and provide support for all new and current applications and software upgrades applicable to the health system.
Consults on major initiatives and projects, including multiple departments, service lines, platforms, and various administrative interfaces regarding the integration of health system application technology with overall healthcare solutions.
Responsible for the analysis, design, testing and implementation of the most complex health system information systems and solutions.
Acts as a subject matter expert on health system application strategies, procedures, policies, and methodologies.
Provides direction and insight to leaders, peers and team members regarding the identification and alignment of strategic health systems requirements with evolving business/healthcare opportunities.
Recognized across the organization for health system applications expertise and sought as a source for resolution of unique or the most complex health systems problems.
Focuses on managing, maintaining, and implementing the Epic Windows Server infrastructure, including installing/upgrading and/or deploying Epic applications on servers and clients using Kuiper, and System Pulse.
Manages and supports the Interconnect, Hyperspace, EPS, Web BLOB, Hyperspace Web, BCA, Carelink/Healthy Planet, Haiku, Rover, Care Everywhere, Kuiper, and System Pulse services.
Assists in the testing of all production services and their supporting systems ensuring redundancy, resilience, and failover to ensure up-time standards are fully achieved.
Develops, tests and maintain disaster recovery technologies and procedures.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of experience in information technology, healthcare applications, a health system environment, or a combination of both.
Eligibility:
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, the ability to work effectively within a team and mentor others, and comprehensive knowledge of hospital systems and healthcare business practices.
Experience developing technical and end-user documentation is required. Epic ECSA Certification and relevant health system applications experience desired.
