Columbus, Ohio client is seeking a Senior Test Manager
contractor. The team is focused on managing the Data & Analytics data warehouse platform. This includes support of data ingest, data quality and data consumption related to the data warehouse platform.

Because we are an agile team, there are opportunities to work on a wide variety of projects and maintenance items. The focus of this role will be to support the ETL and Database conversion from On Prem to the new Cloud infrastructure. Not looking for a test analyst. They need someone who can manage the testing program. Leadership role or a test program lead.

Senior level.

• Candidate must be local to Columbus. Relocation is not an option.
• Standard Business Hours
• Candidate is required to work a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office/2 remote). No Exceptions
• 1 year plus the potential for extending 2 more years.

• Position requires candidate to be hands on. This includes being a strong presence in the office.
• Candidate will be meeting with stakeholders (Director level) and must understand their audience.
• Significant amount of time with coordination and oversight of conversion
• First year of project, testing will be a huge component.
• Strong written and verbal skills required.
• Must effectively communication alignment of migration

• Already done a data warehouse conversion.
  Understands the complexity.
• Experience testing on a data warehouse project - important.
  • On prem to cloud testing for migration. (More niche than standard)
• Coordinate with business, with different hubs of the business.
• Hands on during project and considered a senior level role.

• Solid understanding/critical knowledge of below tools required:
  • Sequel
  • Reporting
  • Snowflake
  • JIRA
  • X Ray

• Familiarity with xRay, test automation, and Selenium
• General understanding of Corporate Finance, Accounting, and Risk
• Previous experience with:
  Data Warehouse test management, Cloud, Database, and development concepts, Large scale/high volume projects
• Finance, Lease / Loan or Automotive experience are a plus

• Develop and oversee the implementation of comprehensive testing strategies and plans to ensure the quality and reliability of software products.
• Manage a team of skilled test engineers, coordinating their efforts to efficiently execute test cases and analyze results.
• Collaborate closely with development, product management, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and define appropriate testing approaches.
• Identify and mitigate risks throughout the software development lifecycle, proactively addressing potential issues before they impact the project.
• Establish and maintain testing frameworks, tools, and processes to optimize the testing workflow and ensure consistency across projects.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the testing team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Analyze test results, generate comprehensive reports and communicate findings to stakeholders, including recommendations for improvement.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and testing methodologies, and incorporate them into the testing strategy as appropriate.
• Manage the testing budget and resources, ensuring efficient utilization and alignment with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of testing activities into the overall software development process.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in software testing, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Proven expertise in developing and implementing effective testing strategies, including experience with various testing methodologies (e.g., unit testing, integration testing, system testing, performance testing).
• Proficient in the use of testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, Postman, Load runner, xRay).
