Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Engineer to join a high-performing team delivering modern data solutions for a key customer. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand data needs, define strategies, and deliver scalable data solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. You will play a critical role in bridging business and technology, ensuring that data is effectively curated, governed, and leveraged to support decision-making, process optimization, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into data-driven solutions
  • Provide consultative guidance on data strategy, data architecture, and best practices
  • Work with engineering teams to support the design and implementation of data management frameworks and tools
  • Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, traceability, and security
  • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and efficiency improvements
  • Support the development and consumption of data models and datasets across supply and demand processes
  • Translate complex data concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
  • Drive commercial impact by recommending data-led improvements and innovations
  • Partner with cross-functional and global teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery of data initiatives
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a data consulting, data analysis, or data engineering environment
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related discipline)
  • Strong understanding of data management, data modeling, and data lifecycle concepts
  • Strong understanding and experience of Fabrics & Databricks
  • Experience working with SQL databases (relational and columnar) and data design principles
  • Solid understanding of business processes, data flows, and analytical models
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to extract, define, and refine business requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on business outcomes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to simplify and communicate complex data concepts effectively
  • Self-driven, commercially aware, and able to work in a collaborative global environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Financial Services or similar data-intensive industries
  • Exposure to data platforms, cloud technologies (e.g., AWS), and distributed systems
  • Familiarity with data observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus)
  • Understanding of modern data architectures and tools
  • Exposure to programming languages (e.g., Java) or data processing frameworks is a plus
