Business Analyst

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Columbus, OH that is seeking a Business Analyst.

Summary:

The Business Systems Analyst serves as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business needs are effectively translated into technology solutions. This role is responsible for analyzing business processes, gathering and documenting requirements, coordinating system design efforts, and supporting the implementation of technology solutions. The Business Systems Analyst partners closely with clients, developers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality systems that meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and evaluate business processes, workflows, and system requirements to identify opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with business users and technical teams to gather, document, and validate functional and technical requirements
• Coordinate the analysis, design, and implementation of business systems and technology solutions
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of assigned business areas, including operational processes and supporting technologies
• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical development teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, process mapping, and solution design discussions
• Develop test strategies, create test cases, execute system testing, and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Validate system functionality to ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards
• Identify, document, and resolve system issues while coordinating with technical teams to implement solutions
• Support system implementations, enhancements, and post-production activities
• Prepare and maintain business and technical documentation, including requirements, process flows, test plans, and user guides
• Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in business systems analysis, business process improvement, or related roles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
• Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall
• Experience with system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect management
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
