This role will work a hybrid schedule coming into the Columbus, Ohio office 2 days per week on Wednesdays & Thursdays.

Supports program governance and PMO operations within Nationwide Financial Technology's Annuity Modernization Program, a strategic transformation initiative focused on modernizing the technology platforms and capabilities that support Nationwide's annuity business. This role plays a critical part in enabling effective program execution through meeting coordination, action tracking, status reporting, RAID administration, documentation management, and operational follow-through.

Partners with program leadership and delivery teams to maintain execution discipline, governance consistency, and effective communication across the program. The position provides a unique opportunity to work across a large-scale technology transformation, collaborate with senior leaders and delivery teams, and help drive the operational excellence required to successfully deliver one of Nationwide's most significant modernization initiatives.

As a Delivery Leader you’ll be responsible for delivering value and outcomes. Delivery leaders are expected to have an end-to-end vista on delivery, manage dependencies, remove blockers, engage stakeholders, manage financials, maximize vendor relationships, and enable an iterative delivery of value. You will need to keep pace with software delivery and organizational change methods and tools. Delivery leaders should also understand relevant Financial and Agile/Lean/Dev Ops tools and techniques.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Contributes to the End to End delivery of expected business outcomes, realization of benefits as outlined in the business case, drives incremental value, drives incremental planning, and drives dependency scope definition.

  • Applies secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Responsible for the clear communication, critical issues, visibility, OCM guidance to deliver business outcomes.

  • Drives the prioritization, management of small to moderate issues/risks, assists with dependencies.

  • Provides delivery status/health reports to drive value delivery tracking (ex: KPIs), optimizes the flow of value and ensures demand/capacity is handled.

  • Manages small to mid-level project/product financials.

  • Serves a mid-level professional to others around delivering business outcomes, benefit realization, agile delivery, and Lean.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships

Reports to Delivery Leader or Business Solution Area Executive.

Typical Skills and Experiences

Education: Undergraduate studies (bachelor’s degree preferred) in management information systems, engineering, math, computer science, data analytics or comparable experience and education strongly preferred.

License/Certification/Designation: Technology certifications or PMI, SAFE, Agile or Lean designations are encouraged.

Experience: Four or more years of experience in technology or related field. Two years demonstrated proficiency in delivering outcomes/projects. Awareness of new technologies and/or industry trends.
