What you'll do as an Inventory Control Specialist 2:
- Maintain extensive agency-wide & statewide inventory such as laptops, desktops &/or peripheral equipment & develop, implement & enforce policies & procedures on inventory control.
- Assign & tag equipment for technician retrieval;
Prepare equipment for deployment by generating asset tags, updating tracking systems & staging items for technician use. - Unbox & set up devices (e.g., laptops, desktops & peripheral equipment) for imaging;
Perform setup steps such as connecting power, verifying components & staging devices for standard configuration loading. - Respond to technician & employee requests for accessories (e.g., power adapters, docking stations, keyboards, mice, cables, etc.);
Ensure accurate fulfillment & maintain records of distributed items.

QualificationsOption 1:
9 mos. exp. as Inventory Control Specialist, 64551.
Option 2:
-Or 18 mos. trg. or 18 mos. exp. in inventory control
AND 3 courses or 9 mos. exp. in electronic data processing related to inventory control
AND 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in public relations.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Requires Travel
- This position is essential, meaning the duties this job performs are critical to the continued operations of the Ohio Department of Public Safety during a public safety emergency (OAC 123: 1-46-01 & DAS Directive HR-D-11). Whoever fills this position will be required to report for duty during any public safety emergency.
