JOB DESCRIPTIONThis position will report out of AMP HQ in Columbus, OH
Position Title: IT Intern (Helpdesk & Infrastructure)
Reports To: Manager of IT
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Essential Functions- Monitors the IT Support Application, resolves as many tickets as possible, and assigns remaining tickets to second level support.
- Provides network preventative maintenance services to ensure network integrity.
- Assists with acquisition and deployment of hardware, software, and services.
- Desktop/laptop system imaging and deployment.
- Monitor and review system generated alerts.
- Perform and maintain inventories.
- Work with vendors to resolve failed hardware incidents.
- Assist with remediation of security vulnerabilities in the environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office tools.
- Familiarity with Windows server operating systems.
- Must work well in both team and individualized tasks.
- Must have experience with or the aptitude and willingness to learn:
- Basic PC and Printer Maintenance
- Software Installation and Configuration
- Basic Computer Networking
- Basic Internet Application Development and Deployment
- Must possess initiative and the ability to learn quickly.
- Must possess the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
