Technology Business Manager

We are looking for a Technology Business Management (TBM) Analyst with strong hands-on experience in Apptio Costing, TBM Studio and Apptio IT Planning
.

The role will support Technology Cost Transparency and IT Financial Management
, working at the intersection of Finance, IT Operations and Data Analysis
.

The ideal candidate should be able to independently work on Apptio Costing models, data transformations, allocation rules, TBM taxonomy, reporting and IT budgeting/forecasting
.

• Build and maintain Apptio Costing models hands-on.
• Configure data sources, transformations, allocation rules and object-to-object relationships
  .
• Maintain the underlying TBM taxonomy in TBM Studio
  .
• Perform monthly model refreshes and reconcile Apptio outputs with source data.
• Troubleshoot mapping gaps, allocation leakage and unallocated costs
  .
• Administer and support Apptio IT Planning
  , including plans, templates, plan lines and drivers.
• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles and reconcile plan vs. actuals.
• Collect, validate and reconcile GL, budget, actual and forecast data along with operational data.
• Investigate variances, unmapped costs and data-quality issues
  .
• Develop recurring reports and dashboards covering Bill of IT, tower costs, unit costs, showback/chargeback and budget-vs-actual analysis
  .
• Support annual planning, forecasting, trend analysis and scenario modeling.
• Work with IT service/application owners, Finance and Vendor Management teams.
• Translate TBM model outputs into cost optimization and rate-setting recommendations
  .
• Document model logic, allocation assumptions and processes.

The detailed responsibilities include hands-on Costing/TBM Studio configuration as well as end-to-end planning activities in Apptio IT Planning.

Candidates should have personally built or maintained an Apptio Costing model in TBM Studio and executed a planning cycle in Apptio IT Planning
. Candidates with only report-consumption or theoretical Apptio/TBM knowledge will not be suitable.
