Ohio Health is seeking an Epic Pharmacy Analyst to support and optimize pharmacy and medication management workflows within our Epic EHR. In this role, you will design, build, test, and maintain Epic Willow and related pharmacy modules, collaborate with pharmacists, clinicians, and IT teams, and ensure safe, efficient medication ordering, verification, and dispensing. You will analyze issues, implement enhancements, participate in upgrades, and provide end-user training.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, build, and maintain Epic pharmacy (Willow and related) modules to support safe, efficient medication workflows.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, clinicians, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into system designs.
  • Troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions for pharmacy-related Epic issues.
  • Execute system testing, regression testing, and validation for new functionality, upgrades, and patches.
  • Develop and maintain order sets, clinical decision support, and formularies to align with best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Provide end-user training, documentation, and go-live support for pharmacy staff and clinicians.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely support for critical pharmacy and medication management issues.
  • Identify and implement optimization opportunities to improve usability, patient safety, and workflow efficiency in Epic.
  • Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and medication-related regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate in cross-functional projects that advance Ohio
  • Health's digital transformation and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Epic Willow/Inpatient Pharmacy build and support
  • Epic clinical documentation and order set configuration
  • Medication management workflow analysis
  • SQL or reporting tools (Clarity, Slicer
  • Dicer, or similar)
  • Change control and release management
  • System testing and validation (unit, integrated, and UAT)
  • Pharmacy operations and formulary management knowledge
  • Interface and integration troubleshooting (e.g., HL7, ADT, pharmacy systems)
  • End-user training and go-live support
  • Requirements gathering and stakeholder communication
