The Ohio Department The Ohio Department of Administrative Services (DAS) takes great pride in its work to support the priorities of the DeWine-Tressel administration to ease access for those doing business with the state, secure state data and technology resources, and create efficiencies for our state government partners while keeping costs in check.

DAS is the engine of state government, providing innovative solutions and supporting the efficient operation of state agencies, boards, and commissions. DAS program areas serve our Ohio government customers, who in turn directly serve the interests of Ohioans. We help procure goods and services, deliver information technology and mail, recruit and train personnel, promote equal access to the state workforce, lease and manage office space, process payroll, print publications, and perform a variety of other services.

The Administrative Services Division encompasses the Director’s Office, which sets strategic directions for the agency, and offices that provide agency management and support services.

The Office of HR Operations serves as the focal point for all enterprise human resources operations, including the administration of payroll, state services, records, and Drug-Free Workplace.

This office is also the front-line support for all customers of the OAKS HCM module and provides planning, design and configuration functions for enterprise-facing HR systems.

The Applications and Reporting Team (ART) provides issue triage, planning, design, testing, reporting, configuration functions, guidance, and support for multiple enterprise-facing HR programs which include payroll, time and labor, Kronos, position management, position description, ADA accommodation tracking, ePar, HR core functions, benefits, disability, Ohio Learn, ePerformance, Taleo Recruit, and HR system security approvals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under direction of the Business Transformation Module Lead, serves as a lead for implementation of new functionality (e.g. eProfile, ePay, eBenefits, Time & Labor, Kronos, automation of Personnel Action process, Cornerstone, Ohio Administrative Knowledge System (OAKS) upgrades) & new configuration items (e.g., contract/parity changes, acts as a liaison to OAKS for Human Resources Division (HRD) provides functional advice & guidance in planning, coordinating, & maintaining the OAKS (People Soft) and/or Cornerstone Human Capital Management (HCM) system (e.g., Core Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, Time & Labor , self-service);
  • Manages & oversees project test plans; identifies potential business process improvements;
  • Assists HRD staff in using system;
  • Works within Application & Reporting Team (ART) to provide production support & maintains contact with Human Capital Management Support group (HCM Support) to ensure OAKS is meeting expectations;
  • Assists HCM Support with configuration & customizations needed (e.g., gathering requirements, design, working with Service Assurance and Managed Services, testing, deployment, production support & change management);
  • Leads cross-functional-application team efforts (e.g. contract changes, tax updates, bundles, creates plans/timelines, assistance with gathering requirements & design) in collaboration with Service Assurance & Managed Services (e.g., creates test & deployment plans, change management planning & activities);
  • Validates state’s requirements for improved business processes; analyzes & defines requirements & business rules to facilitate statewide process design.
