Technical & Application Support Scientist

METTLER TOLEDO is hiring a Technical & Application Support Scientist for our Laboratory product line in the Columbus, Ohio area who will provide technical and application support for a specific discipline of the Laboratory group:
Weighing and Analytical Instruments . This specialist will work primarily with customers, but also sales, service, and marketing colleagues, to support moisture analyzers, weight products and LabX Software.

• Provide primary phone support to end-users, sales personnel, and field service technicians on the instrument product lines.
• Document and communicate quality issues to the appropriate teams, and facilitate resolutions for our customers.
• Perform, document, and report on laboratory experiments in support of end-users, sales personnel, and marketing.
• Properly interact with SAP software and accurately record necessary contact, product, and sales information.
• Assist with development of marketing and technical materials.
• Assist in managing the laboratory inventory and in maintaining an organized and safe laboratory.
• Assist with product and application demonstrations and training to customers, sales, service, and other lab colleagues.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or Engineering from a four-year college or university, or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Significant experience with ERP and/or CRM systems; SAP preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Technical competence and knowledge depending on product line of support; applicable examples include engineering, biology, analytical chemistry, or material science.
• Some products of support strongly benefit with candidates with Laboratory experience with automated lab analytical instruments.
