We’re looking for an experienced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Manager to serve as Spartan Logistics’ primary expert for Excalibur, our Warehouse Management System. In this role, you’ll take ownership of WMS setup and accuracy, support new customer and location implementations, troubleshoot system issues, and help ensure our systems effectively support our operations and customers.

What You’ll Do:

As our WMS Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Serving as Spartan Logistics’ primary expert for Excalibur and managing WMS setup, configuration, and administration.
  • Setting up new customers and ensuring customer information, billing rates, requirements, and system configurations are complete and accurate. Proactively auditing customer setups, rates, and critical system information to identify and correct issues before they impact operations or billing.
  • Owning the systems portion of new customer and location implementations, including configuration, EDI coordination and testing, validation, go-live support, and follow-up.
  • Troubleshooting WMS issues, resolving problems independently when possible and coordinating with our WMS provider when additional support is needed.
  • Working closely with Operations, Accounting, and leadership to identify and resolve system issues.
  • Training and supporting managers and other WMS users and assisting with WMS-related SOPs and training materials.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve system processes, accuracy, and efficiency.
Requirements:

You’ll be successful in this position if you’re comfortable taking ownership, working independently, managing multiple priorities, and digging into an issue until you understand what happened and how to resolve it.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with a WMS or similar business system, preferably within warehousing, logistics, or distribution.
  • Experience with WMS configuration, customer setup, troubleshooting, testing, and implementations strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of EDI and its use in customer and system integrations preferred.
  • Experience with Excalibur is a plus, but not required.
