In this position, you will serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Order Preparation / Provisioning in support of the DISN Consolidated Provisioning (DCP) effort at the Columbus, Ohio location. This position provides senior technical and operational support for the Order Preparation phase of the provisioning lifecycle, where draft service orders are developed from validated service requests and preliminary circuit designs and transitioned through Government-provided systems.

The SME will serve as a technical escalation point for Order Preparation / Provisioning personnel, provides shift-level technical guidance, supports training and quality improvement, and assumes delegated technical-lead responsibilities that reduce routine workload on the Team Lead while remaining within established authority limits. The SME will maintain expert working knowledge of draft service-order development, DISN and commercial circuit paths, Held in Abeyance (HIA) resolution, Telecommunications Service Priority (TSP), Quality of Service (QoS), Government tracking repositories, MCL and CP&D documentation, EIS transition activities, and related DCP functional interfaces while continuing to perform production work as mission needs require.

1. Serve as the technical and operational escalation point for Order Preparation / Provisioning personnel for complex or unresolved service-order issues, WWOLS processing questions, circuit-path concerns, HIA conditions, TSP or QoS requirements, Government tool or repository discrepancies, commercial provisioning questions, and other matters that cannot be resolved through normal peer collaboration. Research the issue, provide technical guidance or a recommended path forward, and elevate matters requiring Team Lead, management, government, or customer action.

2. Maintain expert working knowledge of Order Preparation / Provisioning functions and strong working knowledge of the broader DISN provisioning lifecycle, including order entry, preliminary circuit design, order preparation, solution design, circuit activation, commercial leasing, facilities engineering support, service-order documentation, and cross-functional dependencies. Apply this knowledge to support accurate, timely, and cost-effective service delivery.

3. Review complex, unusual, high-priority, or high-risk Order Preparation work products for technical accuracy, completeness, proper documentation, and compliance with approved processes before release. Validate draft service orders, circuit paths, TSP requirements, critical QoS parameters, Government repository entries, MCL and CP&D updates, and other provisioning data as appropriate, and provide corrective technical guidance when deficiencies are identified.
