We are seeking a Litigation Attorney to join a leading law firm in its Political Subdivision & Civil Rights Defense practice. This role focuses on defending municipalities, public entities, and government employees in complex litigation matters.
Candidates with General Insurance Defense experience will also be considered for this opportunity.
Key Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to):- Handle civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Defend public entities and employees in Section 1983 / civil rights litigation
- Manage discovery, depositions, motions, and trial preparation
- Collaborate with partners and clients on case strategy
- 2+ years of litigation experience as an associate
- Experience with civil rights or public entity defense preferred
- Strong writing, research, and courtroom skills
- Ability to manage cases independently
- Civil rights & constitutional claims
- Law enforcement liability / excessive force
- General Insurance Defense matters
The annual salary for this position is between $75,000 – $130,000 annually
. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
