Salary range is $75,000 to $85,000 annually, dependent upon experience
About the JobGFS Chemicals is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Buyer Planner to join our Inorganic Division at our McKinley Avenue location. The Senior Supply Chain Buyer Planner is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring efficient procurement and raw material inventory management within the supply chain operations of the company. By skillfully handling procurement activities, raw material inventory levels, and supplier relationships, this position significantly contributes to enhancing the overall efficiency and profitability of the organization's supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities- Procurement:
Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts, procure goods, and monitor orders for timely delivery - Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, analyze raw material demand and supply trends regularly, and optimize raw material stock levels to prevent shortages or excess inventory - Forecasting:
Utilize historical data, market insights, and sales projections to forecast future demand for products and materials - Supplier Relationship Management:
Establish and nurture strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the delivery of quality, cost-effective, and timely goods - Risk Management:
Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies for mitigation - Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams, such as production, logistics, and warehousing, to ensure seamless operations - Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancements within the supply chain
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration or a related field preferred
- Chemical buying experience is essential

Skills:
Excellent communication skills with attention to detail; strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting skills; ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams; must be self-driven and have the ability to work independently and balance multiple priorities; utilization of business intelligence (PowerBI, Tableau, Qliq, or similar); excellent proficiency in database management; basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products;
SharePoint experience is preferred; effective verbal and written communicator, able to communicate with a variety of audiences and management levels; fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required for this role; must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task; quickly transition from one task to another while responding to interruptions
