About The Position

As a Project Scheduler, you will collaborate with project teams in planning, creating, updating, tracking, analysing, and reporting schedules, developing and maintaining Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules on construction projects from proposal through construction stages. You will work with project leaders, trade partners, clients, and service field teams to optimize schedules, improve business processes, and deliver systems that meet construction goals.

Day in the Life
  • Works closely with project teams to develop, maintain, and manage project schedules across engineering, construction, supply chain, regulatory and finance activities, ensuring clarity on expectations, budgets, schedules, and status.
  • Responsible for data collection, schedule building, updating, revisions, and production of schedule reports. Monitors weekly and monthly progress, including critical path analysis and schedule narratives, and makes frequent on‑site visits.
  • Assesses impacts to the critical path, monitors schedule deviations and trending, provides schedule progress reports and milestones, and participates in project team meetings to communicate metrics, troubleshoot, and develop corrective actions.
  • Might provide day‑to‑day management of the service scheduling team, maintaining communications, training, and ensuring accountability of safety, ergonomics, quality control, and other key standards.
  • Drives communication for service schedule management and coordination between account management, project management, field service operations and end‑user customers, managing and distributing shareable schedules.
  • On service projects, monitors, forecasts, and modifies required labor resources to ensure adequate staffing during high/low workloads, responding promptly to scheduling requests to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborates with appropriate management to monitor crew blends, ratios, tools, equipment, security badges, background screening, collective bargaining agreements, licensing, and competitive labor ratios.
  • Determines best methods for staffing and equipping projects for successful installations on service projects, and on technology projects performs network infrastructure, security, audio/visual, and wireless duties.
  • Develops strong consultative relationships with customers and team members, addressing key business issues, resolving problems, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in service scheduling, project management, construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of electrical or low‑voltage experience in field operations, with a preferred concentration in construction and/or service projects. Experience managing field technician workflow preferred.
  • Experience scheduling large, complex projects with integration of multiple construction packages and coordination of trade partners, with strong understanding of critical path methodology.
  • Basic project management training and skills. Thorough understanding of the project life cycle.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in MS Office and MS Project, preferably Primavera P6.
  • Ability to coordinate and organize multiple sources of schedule inputs/performance data into a master schedule platform and deliver project/program status reports.
