Job Description

Under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager or Assistant Director, the Supply Chain Coordinator oversees a defined logistical area focused on inventory control, replenishment, and cycle count processes to support a coordinated, lean supply chain operation. This role ensures the efficient management of supplies and inventory to meet the operational and clinical needs of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC).

Key responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining inventory levels within supply chain areas, ensuring adequate storeroom stock, and coordinating inventory receiving and staging activities for large-scale facilities projects. The position conducts routine audits of inventory data and stocking accuracy to support operational efficiency and inventory integrity.

The Supply Chain Coordinator provides analytical and operational support by identifying and resolving inventory and purchasing discrepancies, facilitating the processing of match exceptions, and developing queries and reports that enable leadership to make data-driven decisions related to inventory management and staffing. The role also assists managers in compiling and analyzing purchase history information to resolve complex supply-related issues.

Additional responsibilities include managing vendor communications to facilitate backorder resolution, performing equipment asset management activities, and maintaining the two-bin Kanban inventory system to support consistent product availability and replenishment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the timely flow of supplies and the overall effectiveness of supply chain operations across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Logistics, or a related field and four (4) years of experience in supply chain operations, inventory management, materials management, logistics, or a related healthcare or business environment. Demonstrated experience with inventory control, replenishment processes, cycle counts, data analysis, and inventory management systems.
